Asi lo confirmó el director Christopher Nolan en entrevista con Empire, recuerden que pueden ver las portadas de la nueva edición en la entrada relacionada, confirmando asi que la acción que veremos en este cierre de trilogía estará situada ocho años después de los hechos que vimos en The Dark Knight. “Esto se trata sobre terminar la historia de Batman y Bruce Wayne. Lo dejamos en un lugar muy complicado, y sorprendentemente, nuestra historia retoma ocho años luego de The Dark Knight. El está más viejo, cansado y no en la mejor forma. Con Bane le damos un desafío que jamás había tenido. Él es nuestro villano porque nos ayuda a contar la historia y para desafiar a Batman física y mentalmente”.
El resto del reparto también tiene sus cuñitas:
Tom Hardy: “Bane is brutal. He’s a big dude who’s incredibly clinical, in the fact that he has a result-based and oriented fighting style. It’s not about fighting. It’s about carnage. The style is heavy-handed, heavy-footed, it’s nasty. Anything from small-joint manipulation to crushing skulls, crushing rib cages, stamping on shins and knees and necks and collarbones and snapping heads off and tearing his fists through chests, ripping out spinal columns. He is a terrorist in mentality as well as brutal action.”
